Why this page exists
Turnarounds are planned. Their accommodation usually is not.
A plant turnaround runs four to twelve weeks and brings hundreds of contractor staff to one site in that time. The date is often fixed a year in advance. Yet housing regularly comes down to the same two options: shared rooms with a shared bathroom at fifteen euros, or a hotel that bills at the daily rate after the third extension.
We deliberately built large units with many single rooms into this building. The penthouse has seven separate sleeping cabins and two bathrooms with two showers between them. Five further units have three bedrooms each.
For a crew that means: one address, one access code, one invoice, and everyone can still close their own door.
Capacity
The maximum.
All units together come to 51 beds in single or double rooms. Actual availability depends on the period, enquire early, turnaround dates collide.

How we work
Six things that actually matter during a turnaround.
Rolling name changes
Your crew changes during the turnaround, with us that changes nothing in the contract. You report the swap, we exchange the person within the allocation. No new case, no new deposit, no new invoice.
One collective invoice to the contractor
Not seven separate invoices to seven fitters. One invoice, one payment term, one cost centre. Broken down by trade or sub-project on request.
Built for shift work
Single rooms instead of shared dormitories. Anyone leaving for early shift at five wakes nobody, and anyone coming off late shift at ten finds an empty bathroom. In the penthouse, seven people share two bathrooms with two showers, not one.
Laundry room at no extra cost
Washing machines and electric dryers are free to use. With workwear on a weekly cycle that is not a comfort question but a line item that appears on other providers’ invoices.
Spaces in the underground garage
Lockable, assigned, right at the building. Company vehicles and tools do not stand overnight in a pedestrian zone.
Ten minutes to the gate
Leuna chemical park: around five kilometres, roughly ten minutes by car. Dow Schkopau: about twelve minutes. Tram line 5 stops two minutes’ walk away and runs via Schkopau and Leuna through to Bad Dürrenberg, also for colleagues without a vehicle.
So nobody plans wrongly
What we are not right for.
Assignments under two weeks. Four weeks is the rule, but from two weeks an enquiry is worth it, particularly for several people at once. If you are coming for five days, a hotel serves you better, and we would rather say so now.
Pure price competition. There are beds in Merseburg and Leuna at ten to fifteen euros per person per night. We do not compete there and we do not try. Our argument is a room of your own, a bathroom of your own, and an invoice that passes an audit.
Allocations over a hundred people. The building has twenty units. On very large turnarounds we can cover a partial allocation, usually the one for site management, supervision and specialist trades, where accommodation quality is an issue.
